Contests with North Carolina and Michigan State headline the East Carolina men’s basketball team’s non-conference schedule as the full 13-game slate was announced on Friday morning.

East Carolina gets its season started at home for the fifth consecutive year on Nov. 4 when the Pirates welcome Georgia Southern to Minges Coliseum. The Pirates will alternate home and away sites for their next four contests, visiting Richmond (Nov. 8) and UNCW (Nov. 18) while hosting Elizabeth City State (Nov. 13) and Charleston Southern (Nov. 21).

The team will close out the month of November at the Fort Myers Tip-Off where East Carolina will face Michigan State (Nov. 25) and St. Bonaventure (Nov. 27) for the first time in program history.

East Carolina returns to the friendly confines of Minges Coliseum for its next five games, welcoming Maryland Eastern Shore (Dec. 2), UNC Greensboro (Dec. 6), App State (Dec. 11), Buffalo (Dec. 14) and Presbyterian (Dec. 17).

The Pirates will wrap up non-conference play right before the holidays with a trip to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina on Dec. 22.

Game times and television assignments, along with a finalized American Conference schedule, will be announced at a later date.
