As excitement builds for the upcoming Amazon Prime series “Beast Games,”new financial details have emerged regarding the production’s takeover of East Carolina University’s athletic facilities.

According to public records obtained from the university by WITN, MrBeast’s production company, Momentum Showdowns, LLC, is paying $285,000 for the rights to film at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The agreement, finalized in mid-April, covers the filming of two dedicated episodes of the high-stakes competition series.
The $285,000 price tag is only the beginning of the production’s overhead. Per the contract, the production team is responsible for all secondary costs associated with the massive event, including:
- Staffing & Security: Full coverage for event personnel and police.
- Emergency Services: On-site medical teams.
- Operations: All utility costs, custodial services, and concessions operations.
The production has secured access to the stadium through June 4th. ECU regained full access this week to prepare for the spring commencement ceremony scheduled for Friday.
The live taping scheduled for May 24th. While the show has kept specific challenges under wraps, promotional materials have teased a $10,000 giveawayfor lucky attendees. Tickets for the event are sold out.
