Zenitz reported the news on his X account on Tuesday, saying in part, “Baker, who worked at Ole Miss and USC before ECU, led the way as ECU averaged 38 points per game during its 5-1 finish to last season.”
The school has not released an official statement on the news. Terms of the extension are also unavailable.
The news of Baker’s hiring was announced on Dec. 2, 2023, after then-head coach Mike Houston made the announcement. Baker was the co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach the previous two seasons at Ole Miss.
