It’s no secret the San Francisco Giants have several young and talented players waiting in the minor leagues.
This season, the team could call up at least three players, maybe more, to the majors. One of them is ECU alum and pitcher Carson Whisenhunt. He pitched in Triple-A last season and could see his name called up to the squad early in the 2025 season, according to MotorcycleSports.net.
The website writes in part, “Carson Whisenhunt, a standout pitcher hailing from East Carolina, has emerged as a formidable force within the Giants’ farm system. Despite not yet gracing the Major League stage, the 24-year-old has been earmarked as a key contender to bolster the Giants’ starting rotation.”
