If you ask for Carson on the San Francisco Giants, you better know who you’re looking for.
MLB.com’s Maria Guardado points out the team has three players with the name Carson: ECU alum Carson Whisenhunt, Carson Seymour and Carson Ragsdale. All three are pitching prospects who could make the Major League club this year.
“We’ve numbered ourselves 1, 2 and 3, that way we know,” Whisenhunt said. “We’re trying to get everybody else on board with that. Most people come by and the group of Carsons will be sitting there, and they’ll go, ‘Hey, which one is which?’ That’s why we’re trying to get the numbers down.”
