As expected, Shavon Revel starts Cowboys training camp on NIL

by | Jul 23, 2025

The Dallas Cowboys opened training camp on Monday with a few names not out there practicing with the others.

Trevon Diggs, DeMarvion Overshown and Josh Butler are on the Physically Unable to Perform list while ECU football alum Shavon Revel is on the Non-Football Injury List.

As Yahoo Sports reports, “None of these designations are shocking or should be seen as cause for concern. They are part of the process that we all anticipated each player undergoing in their respective returns to playing for the team.” Yahoo reports Overshown has the longest road back to recovery. “He shared an update over the weekend where he suggested he will be ‘active’ at some point this season.”

There was no new news on Revel’s status. He is recovering from surgery after tearing his ACL last season while playing at ECU.
