Appalachian State has fired its head football coach, an alumni of the school.
Head coach Shawn Clark. Clark, 49, is a former App State offensive lineman who had been with the program since 2016. He was fired after the team’s loss to Georgia Southern finished the season at 5-6.
He went 39-24 in five full seasons.
