With the Spring Training season winding down and teams gearing up for the start of the Major League Baseball season, one thing stands out.
Team and player previews continue as squads prepare for their Breakout Game showcase. One player who is in the spotlight again is Toronto Blue Jays pitcher and ECU alum Trey Yesavage.
Since being picked No. 20 in the first round of last year’s Major League Baseball draft, buzz has centered around Yesavage and his potential. JaysCentre.com is the latest to take a crack at describing the potential Yesavage has.
The publication raved about his rise as a starting pitcher, command of his pitches and the gaudy numbers he began putting up as a junior at ECU. It also pointed out areas of concern and work that Yesavage needs to focus on to become a better pro pitcher.
