The ECU Pirate Club announced today the launch of a 50/50 raffle at each home football game at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium during the 2026 season. The raffles will be presented by Valicy and powered by Chaffle.

Proceeds from the raffles will directly support the ECU Pirate Club, the official fundraising arm of ECU Athletics that provides critical support for all Pirate student-athletes.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets during the week leading up to each home football game and through the end of the third quarter. Fifty percent of each game’s total raffle proceeds will be awarded to the holder of a randomly selected winning ticket, while the remaining 50 percent will benefit the Pirate Club and its mission of supporting ECU student-athletes.

“Pirate Nation has always answered the call when it comes to supporting our student-athletes,” ECU Director of Athletics Jon Gilbert said. “The 50/50 raffle provides another fun and meaningful way for our fans to participate while helping the Pirate Club provide the resources necessary to be competitive on and off the field. We are excited to introduce this new gameday tradition at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.”

Tickets for the first raffle are available now and may be purchased through the end of the third quarter of ECU’s home opener against Appalachian State on Saturday, September 12. Fans may participate by scanning QR codes displayed throughout Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium or by visiting ecu5050.com. Eligibility requirements, prize-claiming procedures, and complete official rules are also available at ecu5050.com.

“The excitement of a 50/50 raffle is that every ticket creates two opportunities – one for a fan to win and another for our student-athletes to benefit,” said Ryan Robinson, Executive Associate AD for Revenue Generation and Pirate Club Executive Director. “Whether someone is a longtime Pirate Club member or supporting us for the first time, this is an easy way to make an impact while enjoying the game day experience at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.”

Founded in 1961, the Pirate Club is the official fundraising arm for ECU Athletics. During the last four years, the Pirate Club has generated more than $100 million in new gifts and commitments to support student-athlete scholarships, facilities, and the overall pursuit of comprehensive excellence.

Fans interested in additional ways to support ECU student-athletes are encouraged to visit ecupirateclub.com, call the Pirate Club office at (252) 737-4540, or email ecupirateclub@ecu.edu.
