ECU Athletics announced that ESPN’s “SportsCenter” will be in Greenville at Sup Dogs on Thursday ahead of the football game with Army.

ESPN’s national broadcast of SportsCenter will be live in Greenville on Thursday, Sept. 25 with anchor Matt Barrie hosting the 2 p.m. (ET) show from Sup Dogs (213 E. 5th Street) the national media outlet confirmed prior to East Carolina’s American Conference opener at home against Army.
Barrie, alongside analyst Tom Luginbill will also call that evening’s football game between the Pirates and Black Knights with Harry Lyles Jr., reporting from the sidelines. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. (ET) at Bagwell Field inside Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. Barrie will also host the 5 p.m. edition of SportsCenter from Greenville as well.
Students, fans, and guests are encouraged to view the show from within the Sup Dogs parking lot and be featured in the background showcasing their Pirate Pride. Head Coach Blake Harrell, members of the Pirate cheer squad, band and PeeDee will also be in attendance.
SportsCenter, ESPN’s flagship program, is a daily sports news television program offering breaking news, highlights, features, and in-depth analysis from award-winning journalists, with multiple live editions airing daily. Every week during the college football season, the 2 p.m. edition of SportsCenter is originating live from the location of that night’s ESPN Thursday Night College Football game.
