Harold Varner III finishes tied for 34th at LIV Golf UK event

Harold Varner’s best round came on Sunday and helped him finish in a tie for 34th at the LIV Golf UK by JCB event.

The ECU golf alum shot a -3 to finish at -2 with two other golfers. He had three straight birdies on No. 10, 11 and 12 then hit birdies on No. 17 and No. 18 to finish things out.

According to GolfWeek.com, Varner took home $147,667 with his finish.

Joaquin Niemann won for a record fifth time this season on the LIV Golf Tour, shooting a final-round 68 to finish at 17-under-par. He won by three strokes over Bubba Watson.

Varner’s 4Aces GC team finished 11th out of 13 teams. He’s joined by Dustin Johnson, Thomas Pieters and Patrick Reed.

The next LIV Golf event is Aug. 8-10 at Bolingbrook Golf Club in Chicago.
