NC State picked to finish 10th in ACC by USA Today Sports Network

by | Jul 21, 2025

The USA Today Sports Network has picked ECU football season-opening opponent NC State 10th out of the 17 teams in the ACC.

The poll was released on Monday ahead of the ACC Media Days. It has Clemson winning it all with Miami second and former AAC team SMU third, according to GreenvilleOnline.com, the South Carolina newspaper that’s part of the network.

Tight end Justin Joly was the only Wolfpack player on the first-team offense and defense. Clemson and Miami took most of the preseason awards, including Coach of the Year and Player of the Year (Dabo Swinney and Caleb Klubnik) and Newcomer of the Year (Carson Beck, Miami).

ECU plays at NC State on Aug. 28 at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh.
