Keaton Mitchell could win NFL Comeback Player of the Year with strong season

by | Jul 19, 2025

Is ECU football alum Keaton Mitchell a veteran? Could he earn NFL Comeback Player of the Year?

Chris Trapasso of CBSSports.com thinks so. Mitchell is the first person on his list of players who could pick up the honor with a good 2025 season.

He said of Mitchell, “Mitchell has the juice to rebound as the ideal lightning complement to Henry’s thunder. Remember, this is a back who ran 4.37 with a 38-inch vertical entering the league out of East Carolina just two years ago. He only turned 23 years old in January.”
