by | Jul 7, 2025

Justin Hardy reached a milestone on Sunday, even if his team didn’t pick up a win.

Hardy reached 3,000 yards receiving for his CFL career in Ottawa’s 39-33 loss to Edmonton. The Elks stayed the only unbeaten team in the CFL despite a rally by the RedBlacks in the final quarter.

Hardy had five catches for 45 yards. He had a possible touchdown knocked away by Edmonton’s Kobe Williams.

Hardy now has 246 catches for 3,014 yards and nine touchdowns in four seasons in the CFL, all with Ottawa. He’s currently tied for 10th this season in catches with 20 for 246 yards and a touchdown.

Hardy will face off against Hamilton and former ECU star DaShaun Amos this Saturday.

Here’s how the other ECU players in the CFL did during Week 5.

  • DaShaun Amos, DB, Hamilton Tiger-Cats: Had his first interception of the season and two tackles in a win over Toronto
  • Stanley Bryant, OL, Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Started again at left tackle, team suffered first loss of the season, falling to Calgary, 37-16.
  • Justin Hardy, WR, Ottawa Red Blacks: See above
