While the Cardinals dropped Friday’s game to the Mets, they did end up playing a doubleheader on Sunday after Saturday’s game was rained out. As a result, the Cardinals were able to win both games, 6-5 and 5-4.
In the first game, Burleson was the DH and went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a walk. He scored a run in the fourth inning after drawing a walk.
In the second game, Burleson played first base and got things going with his first home run of the season, a two-run shot in the second inning. It gave the Cardinals a 2-0 lead.
