ECU celebrates 2024-25 athletic year at 12th annual Goldspys

East Carolina recognized the success of its student-athletes during its 12th annual Goldspys on Monday.

The ECU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held the annual Goldspys end of the year awards show on Monday night. The Goldspys, now in its 12th year, is styled after ESPN’s ESPY awards, honoring and highlighting the success of ECU student-athletes both inside and outside the arenas of competition.

With the 2024-25 school year coming to a close, the Goldspys honored several student-athletes with 22 awards voted on by the ECU administration, coaching staff and SAAC representatives. Also announced Monday night was the Annual All-Academic Team, which consisted of one student-athlete from all 16 Pirate sport programs.
