Harold Varner III saved his best for last at the LIV Golf Miami tournament.
The ECU alum shot a 4-under-par on Sunday to finish in a tie for 7th in the Miami tournament. He had six birdies, including ones at No. 16 and No. 17, to finish up strong.
Marc Leishman also shot a 4-under-par to win the event with a 6-under-par three-day score. He finished one shot ahead of Charl Schwartzel, who shot 6-under-par to finish at -5.
Varner earned $562,500 by finishing the three-day event at even par, according to GolfWeek.com.
Despite the good day, his team — 4Aces GC — dropped to third in the final standings at +17. RipperGC won with a +4.
