Harbaugh optimistic Keaton Mitchell set for big comeback with Ravens

by | Apr 3, 2025

ECU alum Keaton Mitchell was an instant star for the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.

He was electric, displayed wow moves and was putting up numbers that had fans literally raving about him.

Then, in Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he tore his ACL. Since then, seeing him return to 100% has been a slow process. He did return to the field on Nov. 7, 2024, against the Cincinnati Bengals but only had 36 total offensive snaps, most in the final two games of the regular season.

At the NFL owners ‘ meeting, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke about Mitchell earlier this week. He said he believes Mitchell will be more than a year recovered from the injury and will begin sending fans (and the opposition) in a tizzy again.

“I do think [Mitchell] has been on schedule; he’s been on track,” Harbaugh told reporters, according to SI.com. “That was a really tough injury. So, the fact that he got back when he did was, to me, almost miraculous that he was out there playing at all. I’m almost certain, as much as you can be sure, he’s going to be [on] a whole other level coming back in the spring and then again into training camp, because he is going to be a year and a half out of that deal.

“So, this will be his second year. Most knee injuries, it’s your second year, this one, I think that’s especially true about it.”
