Watch: Referees pay tribute to Raymie Styons during ACC Tournament

by | Mar 15, 2025

Referees at the ACC Tournament in Charlotte paid their respects to a former Greenville referee who died last year.

Raymie Styons worked in Greenville’s Little League along with other ventures. He had worked as a referee in the ACC and in other college basketball games for years before his death.

The refs wore green whistles, in reference to his work in Greenville’s Little League with “RS” heart patches on their warmups, according to a photo posted by “The Josh Graham Show.”

WNCT-TV’s Brian Bailey, host of Pirate Radio’s “The Brian Bailey Show” reported on the event.
