Three reports have high hopes for Blue Jays’ Trey Yesavage

by | Jan 28, 2025

Everyone seems to have high expectations for ECU Alum and Toronto Blue Jays minor league pitcher Trey Yesavage.

Baseball America has him and fellow Blue Jays rookie Arjun Nimmala among its top 100 minor league players entering 2025. But that’s not the only publication high on Yesavage.

SI.com reports the Athletic’s Keith Law also has Yesavage among his top 100 farm system stars in the waiting. SI.com reports, “The 21-year-old righty projects as a No. 3 starter, per Law, and he could reach the majors as soon as 2026.”

MLB.com last week released its top 100 with Yesavage also on that list. They reported in part, “Already 21 with a few seasons of NCAA ball under his belt, Yesavage will be looking at a far quicker timeline than Nimmala if all goes well.”
