On Friday, Hoffman signed a three-year, $33 million deal to pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays. SportsNet.ca was among the news sites reporting the deal.
Hoffman was 3-3 with 10 saves for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2024. It was his best performance as a reliever over his nine-year career. He also had a 2.17 ERA in 68 appearances over 66.1 innings. He earned a spot on the National League All-Star team for the first time.

He struggled some in the second half of the season and took two of the three losses the Phillies suffered in the postseason against the New York Mets.
Hoffman at one time expressed interest in returning as a starting pitcher. But the Blue Jays indicated in releasing the news that he’ll remain in the bullpen.
“We are excited to add Jeff to our bullpen,” said Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins through a statement, according to SportsNet.ca.
