Raleigh is listed as a potential landing spot for the Tampa Bay Rays if their stadium deal falls apart.
Tropicana Field was badly damaged by Hurricane Milton on Oct. 9. According to The Associated Press, “The St. Petersburg City Council reversed course Thursday (Nov. 21) on whether to spend more than $23 million to repair the hurricane-shredded roof of the Tampa Bay Rays’ ballpark, initially voting narrowly for approval and hours later changing course.”
In an update to that story, this past Tuesday, ESPN reported “the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners voted 5-2 in favor of funding $312.5 million worth of bonds.”
If the situation is further complicated or simply not fixed, ESPN reports there are several possible new homes, including Raleigh. Click here to read more.
