Former USC, current Georgia Southern coach could be in mix for ECU job

While some would love to have the current head football coach of Southern Cal as the next ECU coach, a former Trojans coach could be in the mix for the job.

Yardbarker.com reports current Georgia Southern coach Clay Helton could be in the running for the job. He’s currently in his third season with the Eagles, who are 6-4 and have a shot at a Sun Belt title. Before that, he led USC to a 46-24 record and much overall success.

Current USC coach Lincoln Riley was once part of the Pirates staff before making stops as a head coach at Oklahoma and with the Trojans.
