The East Carolina lacrosse team will play a 16-game regular season featuring seven games in Johnson Stadium in 2025, the program announced Monday. The season features several high-caliber opponents, including three 2024 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

The Pirates will open the season with a five-game road swing through Queens, Elon and Coastal Carolina on the east coast on Feb. 8, Feb. 15 and March 1 before making the trip west for a California swing at San Diego State on March 10 and a date with UC Davis in San Diego on March 12.

The team will finally take the field in Johnson Stadium for a three-game stretch on March 16, 22 and 25 as they host Quinnipiac, South Florida and Duke. South Florida will be fielding a lacrosse team for the first time in 2025, the first of two debutante teams the Pirates will face on the season.

It’s back on the road at Temple (March 25), Clemson (April 1) and Old Dominion (April 5) before the Pirates return home for a big-time matchup with North Carolina on April 9 as well as playing host to Vanderbilt on April 12.

The team makes one more road trip on April 19 to face Charlotte in the Queen City and will look to play spoiler for the 49ers opening meeting in the rivalry in their debut season.

Home games with William & Mary (April 22) and JMU (April 26) wrap up the regular season with a splash. The American Athletic Conference Tournament will be held on May 1 and 3 in Norfolk, Va. with Old Dominion serving as the 2025 host school.
