Watch: Mike Houston talks season opener with Norfolk State

Sixth-year East Carolina Head Football Coach Mike Houston addressed members of the media Monday afternoon before Saturday’s season opener against Norfolk State.

“Looking forward to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium Saturday night,” Houston said. “Looking forward to being back in front of our fans and Pirate Nation being back in the stands. And it’s, you know, it’s been some, you know, a little bit of a tough time since the last time we were in the stadium, but I’m excited about where we are.

“I feel like that we have had a really good preseason camp. I think we have a roster that is prepared to be highly competitive this fall. I’m just ready to see us get out on the field and do it.”
