ECU Alum Connor Norby was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle as the Miami Marlins beat the Chicago Cubs, 7-2, on Sunday.
Norby hit his fourth MLB homer and second with the Fish in the first inning. He doubled and scored in the third and singled and scored in the eighth.
Norby finished 3-for-4 in the leadoff spot and extended his hitting streak to six games. He has tallied six extra-base hits through his first six games with the Marlins, setting a club record.
