ECU Alum, Bengals OT D’Ante Smith has knee surgery

ECU Alum and Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman D’Ante Smith had successful knee surgery on Thursday.

“Thank you to everyone for the prayers and support,” Smith tweeted. “Surgery went well thanks to God now we just taking it a day atta time!”

Smith, 26, suffered a season-ending patellar tendon injury in last week’s joint practice with the Bears. He is in the final year of his rookie contract after being chosen in the NFL draft.
